1915 Battle of the Falkland Islands: Postcard to London carried without stamps affixed and two line violet handstamp (corrected spelling) RECEIVED FROM H M SHIPS / NO CHARGE TO BE RAISED (Oct 1915), single line violet h/s, and manuscript Posted on HMS Macedonia / no stamps available, from an Engineering Commander on HMS Macedonia which arrived on 7th Dec at Port Stanley to defend the Islands from the German fleet. The Macedonia was sunk in the ensuing chase and battle. Rare military card.
