Lot 291 Falkland Islands

1915 Battle of the Falkland Islands: Postcard to London used with GB 1d red tied dumb cancel (August) in black from an Engineering Commander on HMS Macedonia which arrived on 7th Dec at Port Stanley to defend the Islands from the German fleet. The Macedonia was sunk in the ensuing chase and battle. Rare military card.
