British West Indies: 1858 (15 Apr) Toned and torn lettersheet from Scotland advising the warmth of the climate may become thick and to add a small quantity of linseed oil to make it fit for use. Then additional message to Mr Blakenham, To order another obliterating stamps for each of these offices excepting Jamaica for which three additional stamps are required. Photocopy of the original cancellations sheet originally accompanied the letter for A01 to A15 for the different Islands in the West Indies.

Forces Mail in BEEF ISLAND: 1968 British Virgin Islands airmail envelope with GB commems tied two FPO 385 cancel sent as a FDC for the Anniversaries issue. Typed addr to UK. Interesting write up from a traveller wanting to visit the tented garrison of the Royal Engineers carrying out repairs and extension work on the airfield at Beef Island. Fascinating.
