1840 (8 June) One Penny Mulready envelope Petersfield to Liverpool cancelled red MX over Britannia and additional 2 more to pay, manuscript on obverse due to overweight. Many creases and torn in bottom right corner, hence must have been heavy or with an enclosure, Petersfield backstamp and two different red datestamps applied at Liverpool. Interesting.
1841 1d red imperfs each with number in Maltese Cross from London offices includes 1, 2 (2), 3, 4, 5 (Pair), 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12. Varying margins mostly excellent strikes, SG Cat £3305.
1841 1d red-brown block of 4 (ME-NF) heavy used Ilford 17 numeral cancels unevenly cut into with margins on two sides, other faults otherwise cat highly for block of 4.
