New Caledonia: 1877 (Mar 22) Stamp shortages cover roughly opened at the top with triangular cancel 'P.D. / AFFRANCHI / EN NUMERAIRE / FAUTE DE / TIMBRES COLONIAUX / SCE POSTES NELLE CALEDIE' on the front plus normal pmks and recieiving marks. Apparent late usage of the triangular marking showing mail travelling the Pacific Route with previous only known use was 25th March to 15th July 1875. Very scarce cover that needs further research.

Reunion: 1866 (19 Nov) Slightly wrinkled cover from REUNION ST DENIS unstamped soldier's letter to France with CORR. D. ARMEES ST DENIS octagonal cancel blue alongside, 6 charge mark (9 h/s applied upside down to make 6), red similar d/s and transit and arrival backstamps, wrinkled but nice early army envelope.

Reunion: 1927 Cover sent from Mr. E DuPont (Expedition) in Hellbourg to Finland bearing 1F25c ovpt on 1F blue (x2) and 50c yellow and lilac tied with Hellbourg cds's with Registered 'R' HELLBOURG REUNION H/S in black alongside. Mr DuPont was a famous Conchologist studying the shells and Molluscs on the Aldabra Islands. Very interesting cover.

1885 (Sept) Printed cover (folded and stain) bearing HOSTER cancel type 10/30 (Whitney) with 10p rose x 2 tied by complete strike of rare HOSTER machine cancel addr to Holland. These machines were mainly sold to London offices but they did get some international usage including use in Germany at two offices, extremely rare despite the condition.
