1937 Coronation lot of FDC's, all complete sets on illustrated (7) and plain (11) all with filing holes at base, plus a fine illustrated example from Newfoundland with complete set of 11, then an unusual lot of forgeries (14) again in complete sets manufactured by a George Whitehurst with additional information on these which were recently offered for sale at £15 a cover in a Philatelic magazine. Censor cover from BRITISH NATIONAL SERVICE COMMITTEE / CASILLA 1908 / VALPARAISO rare oval cachet on reverse, sent Per Santa Elena via New York to River Plate London Committee, River Plate House, London sealed with OPENED BY EXAMINER 1607 / P.C. 90 label. This was used as an undercover address for South American volunteers serving with British Forces in WW2. Scarce with local cachet on reverse.
