1887 Die I 5d dull purple and blue fine used light oval registered cancel, SG 207.
1890 (2nd July) Jubilee Penny Postage handstamps (two different) in blue or violet on unposted 1d brown Postal stationery card for the first day of the South Kensington exhibition, few tone spots otherwise good strikes.
1891 £1 green a soiled and defective example used with registered oval cancels, rubbed bottom left and stains. SG 212. Cat £675.
Advertising Rings: Smith Elder & Co c1862 1s embossed centre with green advertising ring used with incomplete numeral cancel, rubbing but still attractive.
College Stamps: 1876 Hereford College ½d mauve postal stationery envelope embossed with Stag Head in relief unused in very fine condition. Plus Hertford College stamp part o.g with tones in mauve.
Fore's Caricature Envelope: Used in Belgium in 1900 (9 May) addressed to Berlin bearing Belgium 50c grey defin tied Charleroi cds of St Gilles-Bruz with regd etiquette and 1897 Exposition label on reverse. Badly damaged right hand side but incredibly unique and unusual. Ex. G. Waroquiers (Balasse 275 p.196). Rare.
Liverpool Spoon cancel: 1856 (16 Sept) Cover Liverpool to Mottram in Longdendale bearing 2d blue star vertical pair for 4d rate both tied Liverpool spoon cancels Arundel #59, type B5 with postmark code T5. Tear in bottom right otherwise attractive high rate cover.
Mulready Caricature: 1840 Spooners Number 3 envelope hand coloured unused envelope, corner fold otherwise in fine condition.
Mulready Caricature: 1840 Spooners Number 5 / No.1 contemporary forgery with Spooner Number 5 design on the front and Southgate No. panel on reverse. Very scarce and rarely offered, minor faults and a wonderful envelope.
