Colonial Museum regarding 4 Specimens of Hawk Moths from Nell's Post, bearing oval red CAPETOWN dated cancel, some aging spots sent from Arthur Jackson to the curator of the museum. No paid marks. Layard was a big name in Birds and authored The Birds of South Africa and a key figure in colonial science and specimen collecting and even corresponded with Charles Darwin. Intr letter.
